Just how resilient is Germany’s cyber infrastructure, really?<\/strong> This question was the focus of Public IT Security (PITS) 2026 in Berlin. As one of the leading conferences on IT and cybersecurity in the public sector, the event brought together decision-makers, security managers, government officials, and industry experts to discuss current threats, digital resilience, and the future of government cybersecurity. <\/p>\n\n

We at SECUINFRA were also present on June 17, 2026, as exhibitors and cyber defense partners. The event provided the ideal setting for professional exchanges with customers, partners, and officials from the federal, state, and local governments. Many discussions focused on current challenges such as the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks, the protection of critical infrastructure, and the development of sustainable cyber resilience in the public sector. <\/p>\n\n

A particular highlight was the participation of our CEO, Ramon Weil, in the panel discussion \u201cGer-Woman and Ger-Man \u2013 How Strong Is Germany as a Cyber Nation?\u201d<\/strong> Together with leading experts from academia, business, and government, he discussed Germany\u2019s security situation and the requirements for a sustainable cyber defense. <\/p>\n\n

Following a keynote presentation by Dr. Benjamin Nitsche, moderator Carla Menzel led the panel discussion featuring Prof. Dr. Haya Schulmann, Prof. Dr. Norbert Pohlmann, Isabell Weiss, Dennis Heidebrecht, Sebastian D\u00e4nnart, and Ramon Weil. Particularly valuable was the perspective of Isabell Weiss, Chief Information Security Officer for the state of Schleswig-Holstein, who provided important insights into the requirements and challenges of modern administrative and security structures. <\/p>\n\n

In addition to the high-caliber presentations, keynote speeches, and expert panels, PITS once again proved itself to be a central platform for exchange between public administration, academia, and the cybersecurity industry. The numerous discussions and new contacts have once again demonstrated how important close cooperation among all stakeholders is for Germany\u2019s digital security. <\/p>\n\n

Public IT Security 2026 was a resounding success for SECUINFRA. We are taking away many valuable insights, exciting connections, and new perspectives for the joint advancement of cyber defense in the public sector. <\/p>\n\n
