Sometimes the answer is quite simple: by creating space for genuine connections. That was exactly the idea behind our weekend retreat in the Rh\u00f6n.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From Friday to Saturday, part of our SECUINFRA SOC team spent two days together in the Rh\u00f6n. The group included all colleagues who wanted to leave their everyday SOC routine behind for a weekend and spend time together away from monitors, alerts, and analyses. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We made a conscious decision not to hold a traditional team-building event with a rigid schedule, workshops, or a tightly packed program. Because, especially in a work environment that demands a high level of attention, concentration, and quick reactions every day, we wanted to create a deliberate counterbalance. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Out_of_the_SOC_into_the_Rhon\"><\/span>Out of the SOC, into the Rh\u00f6n<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our first day took us to the Wasserkuppe. Rather than a set schedule, the focus was on the vastness of the Rh\u00f6n, nature, and, above all, spending time together. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a hearty breakfast, we set off at a leisurely pace for Kreuzberg on the second day. Our hike together provided plenty of opportunities for conversation before we rounded out the day with a meal together at the monastery. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And in the end, it was precisely those conversations that were the most valuable part of our weekend.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without the pressure of deadlines, a set schedule, or the expectation that you have to \u201caccomplish\u201d something, conversations naturally arise\u2014conversations for which there often isn\u2019t the same amount of time or tranquility in the day-to-day work routine. You get to know each other better, discover different perspectives, and learn more about the people you work with every day. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Trust_cannot_be_put_on_the_agenda\"><\/span>Trust cannot be put on the agenda<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For us at SECUINFRA, a trusting working relationship is an essential part of a strong team. This trust doesn\u2019t arise automatically through workshops or organized team-building activities. It grows through genuine interactions, listening to one another, and the opportunity to take on responsibility.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is especially crucial in the SOC. Our work depends on our ability to rely on one another, share knowledge, make decisions, and take joint responsibility for our clients\u2019 cyber defense. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Effective collaboration within the team therefore has an impact far beyond the team itself. After all, it is ultimately those who rely on our work every day who benefit most from a well-coordinated, trustworthy, and responsible SOC. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our weekend in the Rh\u00f6n proved once again that sometimes it doesn&#8217;t take much to build a strong team. A little break from everyday life, a nice setting\u2014and, above all, time to spend with one another. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many thanks to all my colleagues who were there and made
