Pass the SALT 2026

When Europe’s cybersecurity community gathers for Pass the SALT 2026 in Lille, we at SECUINFRA will be there with a particularly hands-on presentation. Our DFIR Specialist, Marius Genheimer, will lead the two-hour hands-on workshop “A Phishing Trip with Fancy Bear – Let’s Analyze APT Malware Together!” and take participants on a journey to track down one of the most notorious state-sponsored threat actors.
Using real APT malware associated with Fancy Bear, participants will delve deeply into current attack techniques and experience firsthand how professional malware analysis, digital forensics, and detection and response measures interlock in practice. The focus is on real-world attack scenarios that illustrate how modern cyberattacks can be detected, investigated, and effectively mitigated.
Especially in times of increasingly sophisticated and targeted threats, robust analytical skills and a deep understanding of adversarial tactics are critical success factors for resilient security strategies. We are therefore all the more pleased to share our experience from the operational incident response and DFIR fields with the international security community at one of Europe’s leading technical cybersecurity conferences.
