For Easter: 54 pear trees for the SECUINFRA team!

The SECUINFRA management came up with a special Easter gift for its team again this year: All employees received a small pear tree, which can be planted in the garden or find its place on the balcony.

In this way, SECUINFRA remains true to its ecological claim to make regular contributions to climate protection and to focus on sustainability even with employee gifts.

With the approximately 54 pear trees, which now find their place in the ecosystem, the SECUINFRA team makes a valuable donation to nature conservation: Each tree constantly filters CO2 from the air and thus increases the cleanliness of the air. Planting trees is a long-term investment in our future and an important factor in the fight against the global climate crisis. Nevertheless, by the time new forests store any significant amount of CO2, we will have already exceeded the 1.5 degree limit. To slow climate change, we must therefore also protect existing forests – and reduce our own carbon footprint. This aspect is also part of SECUINFRA’s sustainability concept, which is continuously supplemented and implemented with further ecological approaches.

Review: Last year, too, there was a surprise with an ecological claim at Easter: All employees received a bee sponsorship and thus became “king” over their own bee colony. With the bee sponsorships, SECUINFRA supports the Hirrle beekeeping company from the Uckermark region (Schorfheide Biosphere) in traditional ecological honey production.

Why a pear tree?

The pear tree is a feast for the eyes all year round. The pear tree’s splendid white blossoms represent beauty and purity, and they are a sign that spring has begun. In autumn, the blossom is rewarded with large, juicy pears.

Symbolism
The pear tree symbolizes growth, development and sustainability. Did you know that the pear fruit is a symbol of goodness and sensuality?

Tree species
The pear tree bears sweet, edible fruit after only a few years. Since the little tree was grown on a special rootstock, it does not grow taller than 2.5 meters, making it suitable for a smaller garden or patio and balcony.
