On May 26 and 27, 2025, we were represented as a Gold Sponsor at the IT-GRC Congress in Cologne – one of the leading specialist congresses for IT governance, risk management, compliance, information security and IT auditing in the German-speaking world. Organized by the ISACA Germany Chapter in cooperation with dpunkt.verlag, the event once again brought together numerous experts from industry, finance, the public sector and IT services in the traditional Gürzenich in Cologne.
With a clear focus on practice-oriented exchange and current challenges in the area of governance, risk and compliance, SECUINFRA presented itself as a strong partner for cyber defense with its own stand and a much-noticed specialist presentation.
Insights from SOC practice: presentation by Felix Gutjahr
The presentation by Felix Gutjahr, Managing Cyber Defense Advisor at SECUINFRA, on the topic of “Setting up a Security Operations Center: challenges and solutions” aroused particular interest. The establishment of a Security Operations Center (SOC) is now one of the most strategically important measures with which companies respond to the growing threat of ransomware, industrial espionage and other targeted attacks.
Felix Gutjahr, who has been active in IT security for over ten years and has extensive project experience in SOC implementation, gave a first-hand account of the challenges that companies face in practice: from a lack of clear strategic guidelines to technological complexity and staffing bottlenecks. He also showed which conceptual, organizational and technical measures are necessary in order to build a sustainable, high-performance SOC – and how companies can protect themselves from known pitfalls.
The practical presentation met with great interest from IT security, audit and compliance managers and provided valuable input for their own security strategy.
Professional exchange at eye level
In addition to the presentation, the SECUINFRA team took the opportunity to exchange ideas with specialists and managers from a wide range of industries. The focus was on current challenges in the area of cyber defense, regulatory requirements and specific solutions for effective security monitoring.
The IT-GRC Congress 2025 once again impressed with its high-quality program, technical depth and the opportunity to earn 12 CPE training points. SECUINFRA’s participation was a complete success – as a source of inspiration, discussion partner and solution provider in an increasingly complex and security-critical environment.
