RVAsec 2025: macOS security and cyber defense in focus

RVAsec 2025

We are pleased to announce that we will be attending RVAsec 2025 – one of the premier cybersecurity conferences on the US East Coast. The event will take place from June 3 to 4, 2025 at the Downtown Richmond Marriott in Richmond, Virginia. As a leader in cyber defense consulting, we are honored to not only be present, but to actively contribute to the conference program.

A stage for innovation, exchange and expertise

In recent years, RVAsec has developed into one of the central platforms for cyber security managers, analysts and technical executives in the Mid-Atlantic region. With a diverse program of keynotes, technical presentations, hands-on workshops and networking formats, such as a Lockpick Village or a CTF Challenge, the event offers a comprehensive overview of current developments in the IT security landscape.

In 2025, participants can once again expect an intensive, two-day conference experience with three parallel tracks, renowned speakers – including Christofer Hoff and Bruce Potter – and an extensive expo with leading providers in the security industry.

Insights into the macOS architecture

A special highlight of our participation is the presentation by our colleague Olivia Gallucci, Senior Security Researcher at SECUINFRA. In her presentation entitled:

“Unlocking macOS Internals: A Beginner’s Guide to Apple’s Open Source Code”

it provides in-depth knowledge about the structure and security architecture of macOS. The goal of the session is to make it easier for security professionals, incident responders and technical analysts to access Apple’s open source components. Olivia will explain how this information can be used to gain a deeper understanding of macOS system behavior – a skill that is becoming increasingly relevant in the field of forensic analysis and threat detection.

With this article, we are once again positioning SECUINFRA as a thought leader in the field of operating system transparency and as experts in the analysis of modern, complex IT environments.

Why RVAsec? Why SECUINFRA?

Our participation in RVAsec is an expression of our ongoing commitment to international cooperation, professional exchange and the transfer of practical knowledge to the community. As a German company with an international focus, it is important to us to contribute our expertise where it is needed – at eye level, in a spirit of partnership and solution-oriented.

The conference offers us the opportunity,

  • recognize current industry trends and technologies at an early stage,
  • establish new partnerships and customer contacts,
  • to enter into dialog with international colleagues,
  • and our perspective on sustainable cyber defense in the USA.

Our participation in RVAsec 2025 underlines our ambition to remain visible and active in the international cybersecurity discourse. We look forward to inspiring discussions, groundbreaking impulses and the exchange with colleagues from all over the world.
