Overcoming challenges together—we were able to experience firsthand what shapes our day-to-day work in cyber defense at the 2026 Strong Viking Obstacle Run in Frankfurt. With plenty of motivation, team spirit, and perseverance, our team tackled the 19-kilometer course—one of the most demanding distances in this well-known obstacle course race.
On July 4 and 5, 2026, the Weiherhof in Wächtersbach near Frankfurt was transformed into an impressive event venue. Our course featured around 40 varied obstacles—from climbing sections to mud and water obstacles, right up to the spectacular “Fjord Drop.” Each challenge required endurance, skill, and, above all, teamwork.
For us, the focus wasn’t on the time, but on the shared experience. Many obstacles can only be overcome with mutual support—just like challenging tasks in cyber defense. Trust, communication, and teamwork were just as crucial on the course as they are in our day-to-day work.
The Strong Viking Obstacle Run impressively demonstrated how shared challenges strengthen teams in the long term. Every section we conquered and every act of mutual support further solidified our team spirit and once again highlighted how important collaboration is for lasting success.
With many unforgettable memories, lots of fun, and a strong sense of community, we look back on a successful event. We’d like to thank all our colleagues who participated with such dedication, and we’re already looking forward to our next adventure together.
