Team event 2021 in Warnemünde – reunion is a pleasure
We had to keep our feet still for a long time, but in August the time had finally come. From 26-29.08. all employees including families met for this year’s summer team event in Warnemünde at the Baltic Sea.
Our hotel for 4 days team event was the Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Düne in a dreamlike location directly at the Baltic Sea coast of Warnemünde. Despite the partly long journey of some employees, the buffet on the first evening was opened punctually by our managing director Ramon Weil.
As is well known, Friday is scheduled as a meeting day for us. Besides interesting presentations and updates around SECUINFRA, there was no better setting for the awards and promotions of some employees. The fantastic view of the Baltic Sea and the New Stream let some eyes wander off to dream of vacations with the passing cruise ships. But relaxation was also provided during the meeting. Regular breaks and snacks made the day fly by. Even more rest and relaxation was provided by the hotel’s wellness area, which was used extensively by many employees, not least by the children who had come along.
Sailing like professionals
The anticipation for Saturday could be felt in the team months in advance. To make this day also a special experience, we had rented a total of 5 boats, to also allow all sailing enthusiasts an unforgettable day. In addition to a Power-RIB inflatable boat, with which we jumped over the waves, all those who did not want to actively intervene in the action, could watch the sailing action live on the three-masted topsail schooner SANTA BARBARA ANNA. Highlights on this day were our three Ocean Race racing yachts. The legendary GLASHÄGER-ILLBRUCK – winner of the “Volvo Ocean Race” 2002 – and her fascinating sister ships “ROSTOCKER” and “OSPA” of type V.O.60.
The summer took a break on this day, but we had best sailing weather. Due to the onset of storm gusts, the departure was postponed by almost 2 hours. From noon on, the teams started with the briefing on the respective yacht and off we went on the Baltic Sea. Breathtaking hours on the water and active sailing along did not let the fun come too briefly despite the tense weather.
